Okay...okay....I'm back!!
I admit that I'm slacking at blogging!! Last two weeks have been really so insane for me!!
Two weeks ago, I was so sick with secondary bacterial infections (sinusitis) for a week and it took me 14 days to recover from bad cough!!! The fever was just like a roller coaster for four days. I was so frustrated that I was not able to do anything but sleep, cough, blow nose, sleep, sleep and sleep!!! No knitting at all for 5 days and I was so antsy for knitting!!! I missed four days of work!! Not fun when I got back to work - stress caught me up so badly!! Pollens and I are not getting along lately!!!
**Warning **** This is non-knitting news.....
Ever since my DH, the proud owner of 2006 Honda S2006 is obsessed with his new car. He became a newest member of S2K International Club. There was a big rally called 4th Annual "Wake the Dragon" last weekend in Tennessee that my DH really wants to go where all drivers of S2000 driving together in the Tail of the Dragon road in Cherohala Skyway - 11 miles with 318 curves!!!! I was so thrilled as I really want to have a mini-vacation!!!
We left early morning on Friday. The weather was so nasty all the way to North Carolina - rainy and cloudy!! Poor DH, it was hard on his eyes from driving wet roads! I enjoyed knitting the sock!!
We arrived very late night at Fontana Village Inn in Fontana Dams, North Carolina where many owners of S2000 vehicles stayed. The place was awesome!! Real beautiful and newly renovation place. My jaw dropped when we got in our room..... real huge room with California King Sized bed!!! I was in love with the place. The view of this place was from our bedroom. Wish the weather was warm enough for us to swim in the pool. We missed the first social event but we got the event schedule and t-shirts for the event. There were several S2000 cars parking around the area.
We met with many owners and their spouses at the resort for breakfast. We were told to bring our car to meet at the parking lot. We were so surprised that there were a very long line of S2000 parked on the driveway. The drivers were asked to meet at the lot to discuss over the day's schedules. We were not able to follow what the person explaining to the group but decided to follow the groups.
It rained for a bit in the morning but the weather was cleared up at noon.
The event was so much for us. Some drivers drove very fast that my DH could not keep up with them. I was so terrifed when he drove very fast in the curves to keep up with other drivers. We drove around the Great Smokey Mountains from North Carolina to Tennesse all day. So much fun and relaxing day for us.
I read Stephanie Pearl-McPhee book "Knitting Rules" all the way back from the place to home. I really love the book so much.
We want to go back there next year!!!
I'm going to post more photos of my completed knitting projects tomorrow!!
Oh oh oh....8 more days until MARYLAND Sheep and Wool FESTIVAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
