Nasty colds + No knitting = Definitely Not Good!!!

A full week of sniffles, coughing, and runny nose have made me so cranky!!! I'm still have real nasty colds!!! I feel like I'm helping Kleenex company real good business because I used up three boxes of tissues over the weekend!!! My nose HURTS!!!! Pity me!

We had fabulous times in Rehoboth Beach last weekend (in spite of my bad colds and bad week for Craig when he learned his good friend who was DC policeman decided to kill himself in the park. The news was very shocking to us. Craig attended the funeral last Friday. Craig told me that there were over 200 people (mostly were policemen) attending the funeral and it was very hard for Craig.) Will share more about our nice weekend later this week as soon as I'm free from holding the kleenex!!!!

Another Knit-a-long!!!

I could not resist this but I have decided to join Red-Hot-Sizzling-Socks knitalong. I have fabulous red yarn to make cool socks.

I feel little better today - just scratchy sore throat and headaches. I really can't wait to take tomorrow afternoon off to go to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with my DH for the weekend. I reserved Deluxe Jacuzzi Room - fireplace, king size bed and view of Rehoboth Beach. I love the idea to spend all night knitting in front of the fireplace.

I'm done knitting front right and left side and back of Everyday Cardigan sweater. I will start working on sleeves this weekend during the trip. I plan to bring two or three another projects with me in case I'm tired of knitting Everyday cardigan sweater.

Have a great weekend....be back next week with more photos.

Blah day!

I'm sick with bad colds!!! I slept all afternoon and feel so blah!! I feel like my nose is like a facuet!!

Lolly came up fabulous idea with new project. Of course, I immediately signed up!!! The idea being that you take inspiration from the colors around you and create something in those colors. It doesn't have to be about knitting. I really love doing arts and crafts. I would like to make small quilts.

Lolly has different colors picked out for each month starting in March.

March - Red and Pink
April - Orange and Yellow
May - Green
June - Blue
July - Violet / Purple
August - Neutrals / Black & White

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!! Jerri Lyn, wanna join with me!!! Should be fun working together - anything you want to learn, I will be happy to teach - sewing, quilting, beading, painting or cross-stitching!!!

Knitting Olympics???

I'm so tempted to join Stephanie's Knitting Olympics but I know myself that I'm not realistic. Part of my New Year's resolution, I must finish few unfinished projects.

Everyday Cardigan sweater is waiting for me to seam them together!!!!

Three different socks are waiting for me to knit second ones!!!

Now, I'm working on second Everyday Cardigan sweater - the one I knit with my Crazy Crowd Craft ladies. I'm done with back and right front sweater. I'm knitting the left front one this morning.

I'm officially joining an un-knit-along, Zeneedle's !!!
This button is more proper for me especially I would like to enjoy the process without pressure. I plan to knit a long neglected WIP on my choice on February 10th till in the end during the closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games on February 26th.

Happy Knitting!!!!

Part Two ---- Crazy Crowd Crafts Group

Continued from yesterday's post.........

Final pins from my CRAZY friends
Sue made us "Witch" pin. She loves to collect witch decoration.

Sharon made us Santa pin (from rug hooking)

Debbie used sculptery to make the reindeer pin.

Aren't they pretty? I really love wearing pins!!!

We started knitting "Everyday Cardigan" sweaters right away after we opened the gifts. We knitted till 2:30 in the morning and got up at 8 a.m. and knitted more all morning till Noon.

I wish I could take picture of their beautiful Peace Fleece yarns. We all agree that we have to finish them and wear the sweaters on our next gathering at Debbie's house in 2007.

After lunch, we started making many more projects together all day and all night. I'm not kidding.... we stayed up till 2:30 or 3:00 in the morning and got up at 8:30 a.m.!! So much fun and lots of laughter.

Field Trip to Occoquan, Virginia. Occoquan is a special place offering antiquing, fine shopping and dining. Dang! I didn't take any pictures there. We stopped in Old Town. I took them to Knit Happens. Of course, we brought some yarns for the scarves and socks. We stopped to eat Fish Market for dinner. Seafood Stew was so heavenly GOOD!

I took them to All About Yarn on Sunday. Naturally, we brought more yarns!!!

Poor Debbie, her yarn was tangled that we all helped to save the yarn. My DH joined helping us. Took 30 minutes to save the yarn. Debbie was that close to throw the yarn away but we convinced to fix the yarn. It came out fine and she knitted happily making beautiful scarf.

Final Projects we made ................ we decided to make Halloween theme projects this year(except for Santa that we can not resist to make one)

Primitive Christmas Santa (not finished)

Spooky Bob the Flying Cat!!!

Bubba Bat

Raggedy Witch

Mischievous Cat Doll

Finally, we made picture frames.... very simple project... Pick the color you like - paint on the wooden frame (I purchased the frames in Michael's) - let it dry then add "Rub Ons" word on the frame. You can find hand-lettered rub-on words in Michael's by scrapbooking section. I made four frames - "Determination", "Giggle", "happiness" and "Laughter" I have not put the pictures in these frames yet.

Crazy Crowd Crafts Ladies 2006

The weekend went by like a breeze. After the ladies left, I experienced Crazy Crowd withdrawal. My DH was so concerned that I was very quiet and sad. Oh boy, the house is really quiet without my crazy friends. I really cherish my crazy friends and am looking forward to next gathering at Debbie's pad next year. Debbie and Sharon hope to come down in first weekend of May for Sheep and Wool Festival.

I'm working on second sweater "Everyday Cardigan". I have not seam the first sweater yet. Hopefully I will finish it up before I finish the second one!

Happy Knitting!!!!!

Sleepless Nights and Lots of PHOTOS!!!

Haven't posted in ages!!! I was busy preparing and hosting 10th gathering of Crazy Crowd Crafts. I had SO MUCH fun chatting, laughing, dancing silly and making lots of stuff with my three CRAZY ladies!!!! Poor Craig, he was so sick with flu for a week and half.

Here are several snaps of what we did and made during the weekends.

Sue from Maryland, Debbie from Indiana, Sharon from New York and I started celebrating our 10th gathering.

We exchanged our gifts, ornaments and pins after dinner.

I made Penny Rug table runner for each of my crazy friends.

Debbie got us Scupltury Snowman that she made.

Sue gave us the Starry Night Pillow that she sewed.

Sharon, the rug hooking expert, made us the Easter pillow.

Ornaments Exchange
Sharon got us the Halloween Stocking ornament. How cool is that???

Debbie made us the Scary Snowman (made of sculptery).

Brillant Sue got us the recycled lightblub ornament that she added "Crazy Crowd Crafts 2006" on it.

I knitted them little Christmas stocking ornaments for their trees.

Pins Exhanges -

I painted the starfish snowman for each of the ladies. I collected the starfish several years ago when I visited North Carolina. I thought it is so cute to add some colors and hat on it.

Geez..... I'm not able to download more pictures..... I better stop now before I lose the information. More photos to come soon.
